Help AIGA Colorado Nominate the Denver Urban Forest Project for the Mayor’s Design Award

The Mayor’s Design Awards recognizes and encourages well designed small projects throughout our neighborhoods. Good design happens on its own when enlightened owners recognize the benefit and invest in quality design. Last Fall, AIGA Colorado sponsored the Urban Forest Project, which brought together Colorado-based designers and students to create 48 banners that were displayed on California St. between 14th St. and the 16th Street Mall during the 2007 AIGA National Design Conference. The project invited designers to create street banners that incorporate the form, idea or characteristic of a tree - a metaphor of growth and sustainability.
